Akufo-Addo betrayed me – Boakye Agyarko speaks

  • Post category:Politics

A New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer hopeful Boakye Agyarko has indicated that he no longer has a relationship with the President of Ghana.

According to him, he trusted the President but he betrayed his trust when he sacked him without any form of hearing during his first term in office.

Boakye Agyarko was speaking on Accra-based Asempa FM when he made this known.

On whether the President did not trust him, he indicated that President who he has known since 1976 should answer whether or not if he trusted him or not.

“He has to answer that,” he said when asked if the President did not trust him.

He added that “I trusted him but now I don’t have a relationship. People get married for 30 years and get divorced don’t they? I’ve known President since 76…”

Of course, we don’t, there is no hatred or bad blood but I’ve learnt to move on because at the end of the day that is what life is. I will never let anybody bring me so low as to hate him. I don’t hate anybody but there comes a time when circumstances make it that you go your way, you have to move on,” he told Osei Bonsu on Eko Sii S3n on Asempa FM.

He continued while explaining how he was sacked that”…what is left? I’ve not spoken to him over the phone. Face to Face once over a year ago. No I was called by the Chief Of Staff and she said the President said he cannot work with me against and I said that is fine then I moved”.
