Ghana Premier League club Hearts of Oak has confirmed the appointment of former head coach Aboubakar Ouattara as Special Advisor to the Board of Directors. This strategic move follows the recent installation of Didi Dramani as the club’s new head coach.
Ouattara concluded his tenure as head coach after leading Hearts of Oak to a commendable fourth-place finish in the 2024/25 league season. He initially joined the Accra-based club in February 2023, successfully navigating them away from relegation in his inaugural season, securing 14th position in the league standings.
In his new capacity, Ouattara will collaborate directly with the Board on key strategic initiatives. The club anticipates that his extensive experience and insights will prove invaluable in shaping their future direction and enhancing their competitive standing within the league. Hearts of Oak seeks to build upon recent progress, with Ouattara’s expertise deemed pivotal to this ambition.
