In a startling live interview on Accra-based DL FM Thursday morning, Prophet Nicholas Osei, popularly known as Kumchacha, unveiled his ambitious plans to run for president of Ghana in the upcoming December elections. With a vision to transform the nation, he pledged to abolish petty imprisonment, calling for offenders of minor offenses to contribute positively to their communities instead of serving time behind bars.
When questioned by host Roman Father about the specifics of his policy, Kumchacha clarified that those committing capital offences—such as murder, robbery, and rape—would still face custodial punishment. In contrast, petty offenders, particularly those involved in minor grievances like disputes over cassava and plantains, would not be incarcerated, demonstrating his commitment to a more compassionate legal system.
The founder of Heaven Gate Ministries proposed a groundbreaking change in Ghana’s rental housing system, advocating for a monthly payment model. “No property owner will be permitted to rent their properties beyond one month,” he stated, promising to ease the financial burden on tenants and promote economic flexibility.
Prophet Kumchacha, urging Ghanaians to break away from the traditional political dominance of NPP and NDC, inspired listeners with his vision for a fairer and more progressive Ghana. As election season approaches, the prophet’s candidacy is poised to shake up the political landscape, inviting citizens to consider a fresh approach to governance.
