The UK’s Trade Envoy to Ghana, Bell Ribeiro-Addy, has pledged to promote Ghana’s investment opportunities, as highlighted by Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, to British investors. During a courtesy visit on May 20, 2025, Ms. Ribeiro-Addy received a detailed briefing on the potential within Ghana’s agriculture, industry, mining, and infrastructure sectors, identifying areas for mutually beneficial collaboration.
The envoy expressed her agreement with the King’s assessment of Ghana’s viable investment landscape. A key objective, she stated, is to increase the export of Ghanaian agricultural produce to the UK.
“I’m looking at ways in which Ghanaian companies can bring more agricultural produce to the UK,” she said. “There are so many opportunities, and we look forward to working across this region and across this country to achieve those aims.”
Ms. Ribeiro-Addy assured the Asantehene that she would relay his message to the UK business community, emphasizing Ghana’s stability as a key factor for investors. “As you said, Ghana offers a high level of stability. Anybody that chooses to invest in Ghana is making a very wise decision. As you have taught, I will go back to spread the word.”
